Green Hub’s Summer plant sale has become an established feature of our annual programme – as well as being an important fundraiser for us! – and we are thinking of doing things a bit differently this year. And we wondered whether you might be able to help us?
Rather than relying on a small group of supporters, we’d like to spread our net wider and embrace the amazing horticultural skills of our supporters and friends. SO, the BIG question is, might you be able to help us?
We are looking for green-fingered folk who are never happier than when they are pottering around their garden and greenhouse. People who might have a bit of spare capacity to help a great local cause. Could that be that be YOU?
In simple terms, might you be able to grow 10-20 good quality plants for us to sell in May and June this year?
Things that have gone really well in the past are tomatoes, peppers & herbs, as well as colourful annuals and perennials like dahlias and cosmos. You know the sort of thing. Basically, anything you could grow from cuttings, seeds or plug plants. We’ve even got an amazing array of seeds you can browse through, donated to us by Squires.
All we need to know right now is whether you’re ‘in’ … we can work out the details once we’ve got our growing team together.
