The teens who have attended our Green Hub workshops the past few years have repeatedly asked us to run a session on issues around friendship, so we are delighted to share our next Teen Talk date wish you.

More about the session:

  • Issues around friendship and social anxiety is always top of the teenagers’ stress list – often, they will struggle to find someone to talk to about this
  • This session, which is run by professionals specialising in the wellbeing of young people and teenagers, is designed to help with understanding how to make and keep friends
  • We will also be discussing how to deal with bullying, toxic friendships and peer pressure
  • Some of these skills are life skills and will serve young people through all stages in life
  • This will be an informal, non-judgemental and compassionate space where your teen can feel supported and listened to
  • Each teen will get a certificate after attending this session

How much does it cost to attend?

‘standard’ ticket for a single session is £15. Once you’ve reserved your seats, you’ll be directed to our Event Payment page where you can make your payment. Because we understand that ‘affordability’ is a very relative term, we also have a ‘low income’ ticket price of £7.50 per session option.

Size and structure:

The workshops are rarely bigger than 20 students at the time, and we allow time for conversation, reflection and feedback. We give the students space and air time as the most important feedback is what we hear from them. Each time we listen to what they need and then adapt the sessions accordingly. They get an opportunity to find their own goals to work on after each session.

Workshop leaders:

Our sessions leaders are all professionals who work with young people on a daily basis. They are chosen for their ability to engage and inspire others as well as connecting with this age group. The Feedback we have had from the attendees over the past five years has been incredible and incredibly rewarding to see. We do statistics from each sessions to know what is working and what is the most effective way to communicate. All leaders work voluntarily and any profits go towards the community project so we can further the work we do to support young people.
