Life Skills for Teens
Follow our super-helpful 8-week mental wellbeing programme
The aim of this online course is to give young people like you the science of why we behave the way we do when we get overwhelmed, or stressed. And what we can do to counteract this.
You may find several strategies that work for you… or you may just find just ONE that is super helpful!
Understanding how to improve your own mental wellbeing is super important.
- For example, otherwise bright and happy people can get very low around exam time, and need to know how to boost how they feel.
- People who tend to get stressed and worry, can still have really great mental wellbeing, meaning they have coping strategies that stop them becoming too low and fed up.
Which is why this has been created and we hope that after working with this course you will have more insight about yourself and your own strengths. These are life skills and strategies, and people of all ages can find these useful – we would have loved if this could have been known to us when we were teenagers!
What’s involved?
- We will send you a short video each week, and a worksheet to have alongside the presentation. We highly recommend that you read this straight after watching the video and fill in the reflective questions for yourself, as this can really help to strengthen the learning.
. - Each weekly chapter will explore a different concept where we will discuss studied and scientific information about how our brain work, how we think, and how we can get overwhelmed.
. - Most importantly we will work on strategies which you can put in your tool kit for managing every day challenges whether you are going to school or college, or studying at home.
We really hope you’ll give this a try – it’s a great way to learn new skills that will support you for the rest of your life!
