Supporting your troubled teenager in a crisis

Communication strategies for parents, led Melissa Carter and supported by Tone Tellefsen Hughes

Monday, 7th February, 7.30pm to 9pm – Godalming

A workshop for parents who want to learn a different way of connecting with their children.

Parenting teens can be awkward and we can often feel like we aren’t getting it right which leads to frustration, opposition and indifference. As a result of this we can get stuck in unhelpful and repetitive patterns knowing that change is necessary but not knowing where to start. You can’t change your teenager yet you can change what you do.

Tone and Melissa are passionate about helping parents communicate with their children effectively. In this interactive workshop Tone will look at how you can model looking after your own wellbeing. Melissa will offer ways to keep channels of communication open so that you can start taking positive steps towards creating a more authentic, loving peaceful connection with your children.

In this session, Melissa & Tone will cover:
  • How to be compassionate, creative and courageous in your own behaviour
  • How to offer unconditional support
  • How to cultivate authentic relationships with open communication and mutual respect
