An intro for teens
Welcome to Green Teens. The first step in improving your mental wellbeing!
Through a range of activities, our Green Teens programme will provide you with a safe, non-judgmental and tranquil environment to learn new skills, meet new people and take a much needed time out for yourself and enjoy nature.
The purpose Green Teens is to help you improve your mental wellbeing, which will enable you to deal with the challenges in your life much better.
We hope, once you have finished the programme, you will have learnt new strategies to use next time you are feeling anxious or stressed.
What you can expect to do in Green Teens…
We value your opinion and would very much like you to be involved in the development of the environment and, working alongside our garden volunteers; we hope it becomes something that you are proud to be a part of.
You’ll get involved with gardening and growing tasks such as sowing, planting, maintaining and harvesting of crops and flowers. You can contribute with the design and evolution of the growing environment, from the way it looks to what is planted in it.
We also do a lot of nature-based craft activities non-gardening activities like:
- Pebble painting
- Creating signs for the flower and vegetable beds
- Making bird boxes
- Pumpkin carving
- Christmas wreathes
There is lots to be done and lots of opportunity.
