We are delighted to share with you an Evaluation summary of the Green Hub programmes impact to our families in 2025. We have worked really hard to pull-together this short summary of the findings from the respondents who completed evaluation feedback as a teen, parent of a teen volunteer or attendee at Parent Hub sessions in 2025.

The summary clearly demonstrates the incredibly positive impact that your volunteering is making to both the lives of our teens and their wider families.

The number of teens who now complete the evaluation has seen a decisive uplift since we developed a QR version, and so many of our Garden Leaders and Assistants also help support by encouraging the completion of the forms – which is fabulous. In addition, our Parent Liaison Team has helped to increase the volume of feedback from parents too, which now constitutes the start of a significant body of evidence.

Highlight findings include:

  • 79% of teen respondents reported feeling less anxious and more confident interacting with others as a result of being part of the Green Hub programme.
  • 74% of parents with teens attending the garden programme reported meaningful longer-term change which included improved family communication, improved peer relationships and some teens being able to return to school/college or transition to the next stage of education/training or employment.
  • Parent Hub attendees placed a high value on the sessions which reduced their isolation, improved their mood and gave them practical coping strategies to use.
