At the Green Hub we are constantly looking to offer our families more support and information, and we had the honour of interviewing Karin Backa Sigrell from Sweden in February about her work as a family therapist for over 50 years.

Karin shares some of her insights with working with over thousand families, where a teen is struggling. She is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, and have also been a mother of two children, and four step children, so has lived in the blended family construct for many years herself.

Karin takes a pragmatic and wise approach to how we build resilience in children and teens, but also advocates for parents who disagree to look to their children’s wellbeing first and foremost. We have created the interview in two parts and she is talking to our co-founder Tone Tellefsen Hughes, who is also her daughter.
