Safety in the garden

If you are a Garden Assistant or Garden Leader, it’s essential that you watch this video.

  • Safety in the garden is paramount. The principles of health and safety are that everyone is responsible for everyone else around them. If you see something that needs attention, you MUST act whether or not it’s directly connected to a task that you are involved with.
  • At the end of the video – and with reference to the linked web pages – you should have a good understanding of key safety principles in the garden, risks and site assessment. You are then asked to take a short test of 10 questions.
  • The pass mark for the test is 80% – you must pass this test before you can attend a garden session. You have three attempts.
