We are reallyexcited to have been selected as the Squire’s Milford ‘Charity of the Year’ partner for 2026-27.

Squire’s was particularly looking for a local charity, with a clear connection to their own purpose and values. Based in Milford, Witley and Godalming, Green Hub works with teenagers struggling with mental health concerns by getting them outdoors enjoying gardening and nature-based activities.

Asked about the partnership, Geeen Hub’s co-founder, Vanessa Lanham-Day, commented; “It really is a perfect match – we both believe in the power of gardening and getting your hands in the soil to make people feel better.  Understanding the critical connection between nature and mental wellbeing is central to us both.

“The guys at Squire’s are so supportive and already have three events lined up before Christmas, all involving us. Of course, activities that involve fundraising are especially valuable to us, with so little public funding available for the work that we do. But another great opportunity is the scope it gives us to meet with local parents, grandparents, mental health and schools professionals – all people we need to connect with so they know about what we do for local teens”.

Milford Centre Manager, Rupert Sleight, said; ” We chose Green Hub for lots of reasons – because they are super local,  their connection to horticulture and absolute belief in its merits for wellbeing, and their tremendous energy and passion for what they do. We are really looking forward to working with them in the coming weeks and months!”
