It’s been a busy summer for the events team at Green Hub. We LOVE being out and about at local fairs and shows, as it’s a great way to connect with the local community. We’ve been in Milford, Witley and Godalming and it has been a lot of fun. HUGE thanks to all our volunteers who turned up to help.

We’ve been working hard all year growing plants in our greenhouse, and we’ve been selling them at local shows, which has brought in some really valuable funds. We’ve also had amazing plant donations from local gardeners, Pepperpot Herbs and even the Association of Professional Landscapers, who donated all the plants from their display at the Hampton Court Show!

Witstock 2023 in May

This is such a lovely local community fair, with so much local support. There’s great music, a dog show (of course!), beer tent and some amazing cakes!

Green Hub Open Garden Sunday in May

This was our second Open Garden Sunday and the weather was 100% with us this year. We had some amazing visitors – Flo Headlam, our Patron, Adam Duce the Godalming Town Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Daniel Bank. Plus we were supported throughout by Mete Ucer of Notley dental Care who had generously sponsored whole the event for us.

Milford Fete in June

This was our first time in Milford and we were delighted to be there. Not only did we sell our own plants, but Milford Horticultural Society also donated their fair profits to us. Thanks you MHS!!

Godalming Bandstand Concert in June

One of our volunteers – Jane Steel, and her husband Mike – very generously paid for Green Hub to sponsor one of the Godalming Bandstand events this year. We were delighted to support the True Deceivers at this great afternoon event – with a fab turnout, despite some rain! Thank you to Joy Poulter from the organising team, who donated all the door proceeds to Green Hub.

Staycation Live 2023

We were newbies at Staycation Live last year, so were even better prepared this year. We had a STONKING display of plants for sale, and had a steady stream of customers throughout. Once again ‘rain stopped play’ for the start of Saturday, but the weather soon cleared up and the visitors came in very large numbers. Thank you to Tom and the Staycation team for all their help and support.
